Well that's piss easy. Our puppy Oscar barking at me as I pass by my mum's room while I go to clean my teeth. Even though my sister bought the dog it just sleeps in my mother's room practically every night. Not much fun cos the dog barks louder than a fire siren if he hears a bloody pin drop, let alone my feet. You'd think he'd figure it was just me and not some bloody burglar. He's like a constant false alarm, that bugger.

I've not watched any of that stuff but the closest movie I have watched that involves space is Independence Day and for the most part it takes place on Earth. There is a portion though where Steve and David head out to space to shut down the alien intruders but that's about it.

People may as well shun me for not being more of a movie person but unlike most people I am not as easily stimulated by staring at a movie screen for 90 minutes :)

I hear a few people here and there with the name Tom but I don't really know many non-relatives except another Tom at Saturday morning bowling. As for 'relative' based same names my ex-father and his father were both Tom's (We called my x-dad Geoffery though). So I'm actually a third generation Tom :).

I just caught this post after I made a regular post and I find it to be an interesting question which my previous post actually answers in a way. I generally do not like attention in excess because I find it overbearing. When I study I prefer to keep to myself and only ask for assistance if I indeed find it necessary. That's not saying I don't like small amounts of attention or conversations on a topic of interest. So in conclusion I like small amounts of attention at a time but don't want to be overpowered with it.

I haven't really done anything of importance today. Just the usual internet surfing and a bit of Wii to go with it.

I've noticed how I'm probably not really that exciting to be around or at least that is my own opinion of myself. That's just it. I'm not really a huge talker by nature and generally like to keep to myself. I don't want to be the life of the party, that's just not me. I don't want to get trashed beyond belief, that's just not me. To be an extrovert who looks down on shy types, that will never be me.

I am me, I am myself, I am Tom. Don't like me, well I suppose you can go suck it then ;)

Times have really changed...

I've noticed how I have rarely had proper updates in the past year. Just a couple of Writer's Blocks and whatnot. The previous Writer's Block actually had a part in writing this ramble.

Having a look at some of my friend's profiles a lot of them don't update their own journals anymore and I don't know if they even logon to here nowadays. I should add that a few names on my friendlist are actually multiple accounts created by a couple of friends. I think for them they felt that new name = fresh start but personally I like to stick with the one account all the way through as it's much easier to manage.

How times have changed. Most of my friendlist on LJ seem to have moved on from this site and it makes me want to nudge them to see if maybe they might return. I miss the days when I would post on here almost religiously, sometimes twice a day. Now you'd be lucky to get 2 posts every few months from me. I did have my fair share of drama on LJ and yes I may have lost the odd friend to that but I suppose those kinda things ya have to suck up and move on from that. I suppose destiny determines those will want to be your friend and those who will want nothing to do with you.

I still read the posts on my Friends/Communities page but otherwise it's been eerily quiet on here.

Well I'm still studying to be a PC techie, I'm still a night owl by nature and I still bowl (averaging anything around 112-120 nowadays).

I think I've said everything I needed to say at least for now. Laterz! ;-)

Well she went by the name of Dani (iggy52588) when I first started out on LJ. Since then things have changed. She has since deleted her "Iggy" account and last I checked she was still on LJ using a different username twisted_normal which I do not have as I don't speak to her now.

I just think Google is simply the most reliable search engine to have ever been built. You can find just about every website on the face of the internet using Google.

Looks like it's been 30 weeks since I posted anything in the danm journal. Funnily enough while I regularly read the friends/communities page I neglect the few friends I do have on LJ.

How am I, you ask?

TAFE - Well I have finally started a new module in my electronics course at TAFE. Engineering Computing. It's much more hands on and to my liking. I can't just sit down and do nothing but stare at words all the time. That's just boring.

Moving house - Also should I mention we have moved house?? I have some pictures if you follow this link. It's been a few months now since the original pics were taken during the settle in period and things have changed or been moved around since then. It's a lovely house and I get my own room :D

Bowling - My bowling average currently hovers around 110-112 for my Wednesday night/Saturday morning competitions. I started a couple of years ago with a modest average of 92. That means I have improved at the rate of 10 pins a year. Let's hope I can keep that going. With luck I'll be a pro in 10 years LOL. Oh and we had a bowling invitational just under 2 months ago. I sucked on the singles side of it (7th out of 12) but for Doubles I obtained Silver and Gold for the Teams effort. Not too bad. Didn't quite live up to my last effort where I obtained gold for both Singles & Doubles followed up with a Silver for the Teams effort.

The fact that I don't really have that much to say despite having not updated in several months really does say something about what a lame-o I am ;)

Whether I start to regain any motivation to update this thing more often remains to be seen.

News flash - Tom posts twice in a week!!

Well we didn't win the auction (as mentioned in previous post). We bid $455,000 and technically "won" the auction but the previous owners though it's value was around $490,000+ so they didn't have to sell to anyone bidding below that. So, we lost because people like to be greedy. Oh joy *cough*. The house is not worth $490,000 and the only reason we even made a bid as it was is because our grandparents and our uncle way up north were willing to help out. Mum can barely pay for what we do have, let alone a house. Fucking greedy people, have some fucking compassion!! We live in a shithole!!.

Sorry, I'm just pissed about it, is all. It's not going to get any easier for us with house prices and interest rates on the rise.

My darling (but frequently annoying) sister Bec had her graduation dinner last night. Aside from having to wear formal attire (eww!!) it was a good night. The food was not that bad and I think people were surprised by my willingness to eat food I had not previously tasted which I turned out liking.

Most recent post here if it eluded you on your friends list. Seems no-one appeared to respond to it. I must be boring...

Anyways hope everyone is managing to cope with their day-to-day life. I'd like to hear back from ya's ;-)

I have not updated as quickly as I have promised. However here I am with something half decent to post.

TAFE - I've been doing okay with the math portion of the electronics course but it is confusing at the best of times when you have to work with something as complex as trigonometry. While the course is self-paced as such I do find myself to be one of the slower ones. I am going to see what I can get done before the end of the school year. I am seeing a counsellor next Friday to discuss what will work best as we plan for the new year. I really want to get into more of the practical stuff. I'm not a theory-oriented person :).

Bowling - A week or two ago I travelled into the country for a tournament. I got Gold for my respective divisions in Single and Doubles and Sliver in Teams. I have posted more details and pics in a bowling community and if interested you can have a lookie here.

House Hunting - We had originally planned to move in January by renovating our house and selling it for a higher price. However father (a.k.a Sperm Donor) will not come to a reasonable agreement in the whole divorce settlement. He wants a higher percentage (more than 50-50) of his share in the house. Wonder why. He'll probably never step into his house again, not while we're still living in it anyway.

However we are eyeing a new house up the road and even though our original plan feel through the roof (of our house, lol) it seems like our grandparents who have come over from interstate have an ace up their sleeve but I figure we won't know till auction day. I'm bowling on Saturday morning though so I don't know what the detailed plans for the day are.

I think that is a solid post that was well overdue for you lot ;).

Let's see when my next post is, hmm? :P
